SCAAA Director's Cup

Purpose:  To recognize the athletic department in each classification which has excelled and shown superior performance

Award:  The SCAAA will present this award annually.  Winning schools will receive a Directors Cup Trophy and a Wall Banner.

Sports:  Presently twenty-two activities (sports) will count in the standings each year.  They are:

Points:  Only the positions earned in the play-off system of the South Carolina High School League shall be used to determine the points in the Directors Cup standings.

             Schools in classifications that do not have the required numbers of schools for a SCHSL State Championship and "play up" in a higher classification will receive only ten (10) Directors Cup points, no matter how far they advance in that particular championship.

            If a tie exists for a final ranking position in a sport, the total number of points for that position shall be divided equally among all the schools in the tie.

             If there is a tie for an overall position in a classification, the number of 1st Place positions won by the tied schools would be considered, then the number of 2nd Place positions, etc. until the tie is broken.
